Music music music

One more neat thing about Israel is that a lot of the same singers we grew up with 30 or 40 years ago are still creating and singing, sometimes with the young generation and the new singers. For example Gidi Gov, a very typical Israeli you may say, kind of cool and nonchalant, a bit of a dark humor sometimes, "matter of factish", do not make a big deal of things and himself, too bad the interview with him has not been translated, but here is him singing with Rona Kenan a young Israeli singer

Gidi Gov singing

And from the "Sixteenth Sheep", from 30 years ago or so, a Israeli children show that still feel fresh.. The song is "It Is Not So Pleasant To See a Closed Kindergarten", it is very funny and sweet, you have to believe me.. The other singers are Judith Ravitz, Yoni Richter, and David Broza, enjoy.

"It is not pleasant to see a closed kindergarten"

Translation of the song: "It Is Not So Pleasant To See a Closed Kindergarten"

Yesterday 5:00 in the afternoon,

I went with mom to the grocery shop,
And on the way we saw,

That our kindergarten is closed,

The swings are standing between the tall trees,
And the flowers are so short and without colors,
Cause our kindergarten is closed,

Sleepy playing blocks,

Are arranged in the basket,
And there is no child there,
To make a tower out of them,

There is no kindergarten teacher,
To say what is allowed or what is not,
And all the books are arranged on the shelf,
Cause there is no one to listen to a story,
